About UsDesert Ice Skating Club Of Arizona (also known as DISCOA) was formed in July of 2006 and became a provisional Club of U.S. Figure Skating in April of 2007.In August of 2007, we were granted 501©(3) status by the IRS. We are now an official USFS club! The Desert Schools Coyotes Center in Chandler, Arizona is the home rink for the Desert Ice Skating Club of Arizona. DISCOA provides club ice time to our members each month, offers test sessions judged by USFS certified judges, and provides and encourages opportunities to participate in competitions. We are were excited to be host our first competition, The Arizona Ice Classic on January 26-27, 2008 and look forward to it being an annual event. The club in the past has offered assistance and support to the Desert Breeze competition held in June at DSCC in Chandler and we have a phenomenal group of volunteers. The ultimate goal and purpose of DISCOA is to cultivate and develop a spirit of mutual respect and support among ice skaters, both competitive and recreational, of all ages and abilities.
